Regular Meeting

Tuesday, December 8, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

The CLIFTEX Theatre 306 West 5th Street, Clifton, TX 76634

Attendees: Nathan Diebenow, Will Godby, Richard Major, Angela Smith, Brett Voss, Simone Voss, Matt Wallace, Miriam Wallace. Guest: Elaine. Not present: Bill Calhoun, Bryan Davis, Megan Major.

Brett Voss called the meeting to order followed by a review and approval of the November 2020 meeting’s minutes. Richard Major introduced a guest, Elaine.

B. Voss reported that he and Matt Wallace aim to have the new website ready to go by the end of December 2020. Davis, Diebenow, Godby, and B. Voss volunteered to provide content for both the club’s site and Facebook page.

R. Major reported that they were in the process of hiring six (6) part-time workers for the CLIFTEX Theatre for a late December 2020 re-opening with the NEWS OF THE WORLD (2020) as the feature.

The group brainstormed ideas for its own New Year’s Eve film/party; the film was to be determined, but THE POSIDEON ADVENTURE (1972) was suggested. R. Major okayed the idea.

The group discussed producing film/video commercials for local businesses to display for the CLIFTEX. R. Major liked the idea.

The group discussed holding club member-curated film screenings going forward for the club. The members present settled on bi-monthly (one film every other month) screenings at the CLIFTEX.

Miriam Wallace updated the group on setting up a checking account for the club, noting she needed certain paperwork about our organization as well as co-signers designated from the club’s executive committee.

The meeting adjourned at 6:17 p.m.

The group watched IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2020, at the CLIFTEX Theatre in Clifton.
